Fixed Trilogy, Fixed On You, Found In You, Forever With You

Fixated on Fixed Trilogy

I'm probably late in reading this trilogy, but what the heck! I still gave my two cents :)

I may have said I was blown away after reading Found In You. Now, that's an understatement,  I was so engrossed by it. I spent my 12 hours reading it. If you don't call it being riveted by Hudson and Alayna, then by all means tell me the proper description. I was seriously considering naming my next child Hudson. No, seriously.

I  love the catty comebacks and double entendres. How good looking, sexy and intelligent the characters were. When I read the veracity of Alayna's condition, I kinda understood her, and Hudson as well. I was hooked to the plot already. I've read some twisted characters before. Believe me this was a walk in the park. This is very hard for me to admit, but this is now my favorite trilogy. And I'm saying this after I declared I hate trilogies these days . Hudson can really be persuasive.

I can tell if I read a good book by the number of bookmarks and highlights I've had on it. And just wow! My kindle was so colorful, if you got my drift.

I hope all trilogies were like this. There's no cliffhanger in every book. It's like you can read it as stand alone and you're good. Every voracious reader's dream, I bet.

One of my many favorite parts, I don't want to ruin it for you. You have to read it. As of now, it's still free from Kindle if you have Amazon Prime.

“Tell me, Alayna—were you first attracted to my son because of his money or his name?”
Pissed didn’t even begin to describe how I felt. I was seething, but still in control. Without skipping a beat, I wrapped my arm around Hudson’s and answered. “Neither. I was attracted to him because he’s hot. Though, I stayed with him because he’s fucking awesome in bed.”

Please read. 5 amazing fixated stars-- JB

Fixed on You (Book 1): Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither's past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out--move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan. But what Alayna didn't figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He's smart, rich, and gorgeous--the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson's fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it. Avoiding him isn't an option after he offers a business proposition she can't turn down and she's drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she's fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

Found in You (Book 2): Alayna Withers has only had one kind of relationship: the kind that makes her obsessive and stalker-crazy. Now that Hudson Pierce has let her into his heart, she's determined to break down the remaining walls between them so they can build a foundation that's based on more than just amazing sex. Except Hudson's not the only one with secrets.
With their pasts pulling them into a web of unfounded mistrust, Alayna turns to the one person who knows Hudson the best--Celia, the woman he almost married. Hoping for insight from someone who understands all sides of the story, Alayna forms a bond with Celia that goes too far--revealing things about Hudson that could end their love for good.

This is the first relationship where Alayna hasn't spiraled out of control. And she might lose Hudson anyway...

Forever with You (Book 3): Alayna Withers relationship with Hudson Pierce has tested both her and his ability to trust. They decide that the only way they can move forward together is with open doors and transparency. It won't be easy for the scarred lovers, but they're committed to each other more now than ever. Alayna, in particular, has grown through their trials, and has emerged more confident and faithful to the man she loves.

But while the pair is focused on the future, their past shows up again to threaten their fragile bond. Promises that were made are broken, and Alayna learns that Hudson still has very potent secrets--secrets that will tear them both apart. As much as she feels for him, her ability to forgive and forget is tested beyond her limits.

Even though she found the only man who could fix her, a forever with Hudson seems more and more out of reach.

Four Weeks Till Forever By Nadia Lee

Four Weeks Till Forever

Reading this book made my Fourth of July bearable. The book was more exciting than my actual weekend. Hehe

I liked the fast paced  story. I honestly didn't get bored. It was a bonus that Mark was exceptionally handsome for the author to have described him as God being in a good mood when he was conceived. It was really nice for Nadia to incorporate a bit of a fairy tale like the Ailing Beauty, hehe. I also liked the way Mark appreciated Hilary's appetite. For food, what were you guys thinking? And I've mentioned it before, I like redheads :)

One of my fave lines from the chef "Anything worth having requires work. Especially a woman. If she's not worth the work then maybe should let her go"

And ow, the last part about Mark trying to win Hilary back maybe a bit outrageous for some. But I kinda wanted that to happen to me if I were Hilary :) over the top, yet so sweet. You better read it so you'd know the things he went through to show her he loved her. When all he really needed to do was look her in the eyes and say it, once more :)

Cover Reveal: Lonzo (A Tycoon Novel) By Kat Madrid And A Teaser!

BUY NOW!

A supermodel.

After candidly admitting her virginal state, Jordana Almueda, the world's top supermodel, finds herself in the crosshairs of the tabloid media. Worse, she becomes a challenge for men - receiving a record number of proposals (most of them indecent) since her faux pas. Needing a break, she goes off to Italy to play maid of honor to her best friend. Finally, some downtime at last. Or so she thinks.

A billionaire.
Lonzo Vitale's name exudes power. A billionaire by his early thirties, his undeniable good looks and dynamism inspire awe and grabs headlines. The European business sector follows his boardroom moves, usually a step or two behind, while his bedroom conquests provide fodder for gossip pages.  He is a man who vows never to settle -  a  true serial monogamist.  When his best friend suddenly decides to tie the knot, Lonzo agrees to be his best man, in hopes of changing the groom's mind about the pitfalls of matrimony.

A story made in tabloid heaven.

On the eve of the wedding, they find themselves entwined on a bed, naked and with no recollection of how they ended there in the first place.

Or that their naked pictures will be selling tabloids weeks later.

Avoid his eyes. Picture something else. Breathe evenly. Stay focused for the next two minutes, Dana. This dance will soon be over. You can do this…
But he had other ideas. She should have known that he was too arrogant to be ignored.
He tipped her chin with his hand.
She glared at him.
His intense eyes searched hers, making her nervous.
What? Her? Nervous? She was never fidgety around guys! She always had the upper hand around them.
Well, obviously Lonzo Vitale was the exception.
She wanted to slap herself for showing weakness around him.
“Why?” he prodded.
“Why what?” she snapped.
“Why me?”
“I was asking myself the same question.”
“The wide-eyed act won’t work with me, cara.”
“I am not—”
“I won’t marry you. If that’s what you’re after, forget it. Not happening.”
“I’m after what?!” she spluttered. She was at a loss for words.
“It takes more than cherry to make me cough up a wedding ring, “ he said with thinly veiled derision. “You should’ve done your homework. Marriage? Not in my cards. Ever.”
Clearly, the man was a lunatic!
She was so angry, she was visibly trembling.
That’s it! She reached the end of her rope. She won’t take any more abuse!
“Wow. I’ve been around punks, douchebags and asshats. But you? You took the grand prize. You’re a new breed of asshole! Cuzão!”

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Mary Ann's Review:

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER is when...

BAD BOY meets a BADDER GIRL

Abby moved to a new school to escape the life-long stigma she was born into. Everything was going alright until one night, she went with her best friend to watch an underground fight club and crossed path with Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox.

Travis was intrigued when he met Abby. It was a novelty that a girl hasn't tried to impress him. Ms. Goody two Shoes probably thinks she's too good for him.

But both of them couldn't deny the sparks that fly whenever they're in striking distance though...and soon both of them finds out that the harder they fight it, the hotter their attraction grows.

My fave scenes/parts:
--------
“Please don’t do this. I can’t stand feeling like this…it’s…it’s killin’ me,” he said, exhaling as if the air had been knocked out of him.
“I’m done, Travis.”
He winced. “Don’t say that.”
“It’s over. Go home.”
His eyebrows pulled in. “You’re my home.”
--------
“I’ll never love anyone the way I love you, Pigeon.”
I sniffed and touched his face. “I can’t.”
“I know,” he said, his voice broken. “I never once convinced myself that I was good enough for you.”
My face crumpled and I shook my head. “It’s not just you, Trav. We’re not good for each other.”
---------
“You can’t tell me what to do anymore, Travis! I don’t belong to you!”

In the second it took him to turn and face me, his expression had contorted into anger. He stomped toward me, planting his hands on the bed and leaning into my face.

“WELL I BELONG TO YOU!” The veins in his neck bulged as he shouted, and I met his glare, refusing to even flinch. He looked at my lips, panting.

“I belong to you,” he whispered, his anger melting as he realized how close we were.
--------
His eyebrows pulled in. “I can’t win with you. I can’t win with you! You say you’re done…I’m fucking miserable over here! I had to break my phone into a million pieces to keep from calling you every minute of the damn day—I’ve had to play it off like everything is just fine at school so you can be happy…and you’re fucking mad at me? You broke my fuckin’ heart!”
-----------------

There are more, but I think you guys should just read the book, haha.

Well, the story is full of angst. Some might say that this isn't a good book for YAs since the characters are just 19 or so, but hey, it's a book, it's fiction. I got carried away on some "break-up" scenes
and actually got teary-eyed haha.

Trust me, it's a worthy read. Again, I was entertained and I'm planning to read it again---and can't wait for the version next year where the story will be told in Travis' point of view.
